The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to support our Royal Bay Cicero, IL facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for handling projects and executing job assignments provided by the Plant Manager. Monitors, and leads what is being produced and ensures that it meets the overall assigned objective.

This role will require continuous communication with the Production Coordinator ensuring that any issues related to any projects are communicated in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Participate in evaluating and assigning the course for a given project.
  • Assist with Time Study Analysis and projects scheduling.
  • Check Items on the BOM ensuring that all information needed is collected for proper execution.
  • Identify the tasks and tools appropriate for each project.
  • Provides the training and insights for a new item assembly process.
  • Participate on the assembly of the First Article and provide insight on any issues or opportunities found.
  • Continual oversight of all GMP's and safety concerns
  • Evaluate personal performance of Line leaders and overall work force.
  • Follow all projects until completed.
  • Reviews efficiency results daily of any given line and works with the Production Coordinator in adjusting improvements per line efficiencies overall.
  • Leads by example in the continuous teaching and training of Line Leaders, ensuring the understanding of the overall objective to any given project.
  • Production line Leader needs to take ownership production line execution, making any changes to meet and exceed quality and production estimates.
  • Help Train new hires and follow safety procedures.
  • Discuss any manpower or equipment needs for the next day.
  • Point out any equipment that may need repairs or were damaged during a production run.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 3 years' experience as a supervisor or leader in the manufacturing industry.
  • College degree with no experience.

PREFFERED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:


  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use tape measure; and to use a computer.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to use tape measure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Bi-Lingual (English Spanish).
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
