RISING STARS CAREGIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
*Is flexible and available to be scheduled any hours of program (M - F, 7:00AM to 6:30PM) to meet the needs of the school (minimum 9 hour schedule with one-hour break). Some part time positions may be available for morning and/or evening shifts.

*Is familiar with the childcare field & pay scale

LEAD TEACHER

Qualifications:

• Must have fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent and at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor's degree in a childrelated field or a minimum of one year workrelated experience in the childcare field or equivalent childcare credential or certificate
• 6 months minimum experience in a licensed childcare facility. If you do not have experienced in a licensed childcare facility and/or school, please submit a cover letter detailing your qualifications
• Enthusiasm, love, and understanding of children
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and communicate clearly with coteachers
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Daily Responsibilities:

• Implement lesson plans
• Meet the individual's needs of the children
• Evaluate & prepare reports of child development
• Parent communication (progress reports, parent conferences, etc)
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop selfesteem and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
• Ability to adapt to needs of the daycare center and provide care to all age groups
• Participation in staff and training meetings
• Build teamwork
• Use assessment tools
• Commit to annual continued education requirements
• Reports to leadership team

TEACHER AIDE

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age, HS Diploma or equivalent program completion required
• Experience working with children, preferably in an education or daycare program
• Enthusiasm, love, and understanding of children
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and communicate clearly with coteachers
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
