We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Structural Analyst to join our JETS II contract team at
NASA Johnson Space Center.

If selected you will:

Use aerospace experience to review/perform classical hand stress analysis, finite element stress analysis, fatigue anlaysis, and fracture mechanics analysis Familiar with analysis of fasteners and joints per NASA-STD5020
Be proficient in the use of finite element modeling and MSC/NASTRAN for solution and post processing Review structural analysis reports and work with other contractors to find resolution to problems
Review mechanism design and analysis
Review Fracture classifications per NASA requirements and standards
Composites design and analysis experience is a plus
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree from an ABET Accredited college or university and 515 years experience
Prior experience with NASA spaceflight hardware Prior experience with Composite design and analysis
