We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Structural Analyst to join our JETS II contract team at
NASA Johnson Space Center.



If selected you will:

  • Use aerospace experience to review/perform classical hand stress analysis, finite element stress analysis, fatigue anlaysis, and fracture mechanics analysis Familiar with analysis of fasteners and joints per NASA-STD5020
  • Be proficient in the use of finite element modeling and MSC/NASTRAN for solution and post processing Review structural analysis reports and work with other contractors to find resolution to problems
  • Review mechanism design and analysis
  • Review Fracture classifications per NASA requirements and standards
  • Composites design and analysis experience is a plus
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree from an ABET Accredited college or university and 515 years experience
  • Prior experience with NASA spaceflight hardware Prior experience with Composite design and analysis
