Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a ACSW or AMFT to provide professional counseling services designed in assisting participants in behavior change to maintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and group therapy.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides professional counseling services to patients and their families
+ May counsel and teacher behavior change, stress management, and other program classes, which assist the participants in achieving, prescribed objectives. Administer, interpret and assess the results of related program administered assessment tests.
+ Assist with the development of mind/body programming into wellness program, i.e. cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management.
+ Provide education to patients and families related to issues that impact patient car
+ Conduct lectures and participates in community outreach activities. Identify concerns and make referrals to other specialists when needed.
+ Provide guidance and coaching to staff members working with clients as needed.
+ Adheres to Company and worksite rules, policies and procedures
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
+ Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW), Masters Degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or related field required
+ + License-eligible, and currently registered and in good standing with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Social Worker (ASW),
+ Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or related field preferred
+ Two (2) or more years of relevant work experience required
+ Knowledge of substance use, mental health, assessments, intervention and coordinated care strategies in a community non-profit setting preferred
+ Successful completion of testing process
+ Current physical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
+ Current TB test or chest x-ray
