- The main purpose of this position is to serve as the Agency Budget Specialist Supervisor for the Fiscal Department of the Talbot County Department of Health (TCHD).
- This position provides oversight to the Fiscal services supporting services delivered by TCHD.
- The Agency Budget Specialist Supervisor supports the Deputy Health Officer (DHO) in the leadership of TCHD to preserve, promote, and protect the health of all Talbot County residents.
- The position involves working with the executive staff team to develop and operationalize strategic plans and goal setting for TCHD.
- Responsible for the direction, management, and supervision of day-to-day operations through subordinate division directors.
- Experience: Nine years of experience in budget preparation, presentation, and execution.
- Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in budget-related roles for the required experience.
- Graduate education in relevant fields could also be considered for years of experience requirements.
- Armed Forces military service experience may also be considered for the required experience.
- Experience in financing, administration, auditing, federal program compliance, and accounting.
- Knowledge of FMIS and QuickBooks.
- Ability to work independently, in team settings, and under pressure.
- Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will undergo further evaluation based on education, training, and experience.

- Education obtained outside the US may require an evaluation for equivalency by a foreign credential evaluation service.
