Authorization SpecialistDuties:
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for physiatrist procedures
- Review treatment plans and ensure they align with insurance guidelines and policies
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any authorization issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of authorizations and followup on pending cases
- Stay uptodate on insurance industry changes and policies related to authorizations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of insurance plans, coverage, and authorization processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and interpret insurance policies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with insurance companies, office staff, and patients
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping
