Job Description

  • Determine material requirements based on forecasts in close coordination with sales
  • Ensure a consistent and sufficient supply of materials for production
  • Establish an adequate stock level for sales items (make to stock) for quick delivery of customer orders
  • Risk management in the supply chain through the application of logistical standards and situational actions
  • Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that material deliveries meet requirements
  • Create, update, or actively manage purchase requests and orders for global procurement
  • Monitor open orders and take followup actions in case of deviations
  • Processing of backlogs and missing parts using our early warning system and communication with suppliers
  • Selection and monitoring of appropriate disposition procedures and maintenance of disposition master data is also part of your responsibility
  • Within the product categories you are responsible for, you will manage inventory using appropriate tools and metrics

Qualifications

  • Completed training as an industrial clerk, business administration degree with a focus on industry, or a comparable qualification
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong problemsolving abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good knowledge of material requirements planning and supply chain processes and their dependencies
  • Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience in working with suppliers
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • SAP experience desirable
