- Serve as technical lead for stormwater treatment, conveyance, site civil, and environmental design projects.
- Maintain, update, and review stormwater management plans (SWMPs/SWPPPs).
- Prepare comprehensive paving, grading, and drainage plans.
- Prepare permitting applications for submission to local regulatory agencies.
- Prepare environmental work plans and reports.
- Analyze construction grading/drainage plans to determine stormwater flow and design appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs).
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of work products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary design teams, assisting with various coordination tasks, data compilation, interpretation, and health and safety plan preparation.
- Take initiative to anticipate project hurdles, propose solutions, and communicate with team members.
- Support project leaders where needed in development, scheduling, and cost estimate preparation.
- Maintain up to date project documentation and data to ensure effective communication.
- Prepare subcontract agreements and monitor subcontractor progress to ensure adherence to requirements.
- Collaborate with both internal and field team members to achieve project goals.
- Continuously develop understanding of project and client goals, and seek opportunities for professional growth.
- BS in Civil, Environmental or related engineering field
- 4-7 years of relevant stormwater, civil, or environmental engineering experience
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, working toward Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary technical team
- Experience collaborating with subcontractors and completing field activities
- Experience reviewing analytical data and drawing conclusions grounded in analytical data.
- Local occasional travel to project sites will be needed

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail-oriented Stormwater/Civil/Environmental Engineer to work within our multi-disciplinary engineering team in the planning, design, and construction of various stormwater and environmental projects, delivering high-quality services to our Portland area clients that exceed their expectations. This role will be instrumental in the successful execution of stormwater and environmental projects for both private and municipal clients.
