    Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail oriented Stormwater Engineer to work within our multi-disciplinary engineering team in the planning, design, and construction various stormwater projects, delivering high-quality services to our Portland area clients that exceed their expectations. As a Stormwater Engineer at Kennedy Jenks, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of stormwater projects for both private and municipal clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain, update, and review stormwater management plans (SWMPs/SWPPPs).
    • Prepare comprehensive paving, grading, and drainage plans.
    • Prepare permitting applications for submission to local regulatory agencies.
    • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of work products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and procedures.
    • Analyze construction grading/drainage plans to determine stormwater flow and design appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs).
    • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary design teams, assisting with various coordination tasks, data compilation, interpretation, and health and safety plan preparation.
    • Support project leaders where needed in development, scheduling, and cost estimate preparation. Maintain up to date project documentation and data to ensure effective communication.
    • Collaborate with both internal and field team members to achieve project goals

    Qualifications:

    • BS in Civil, Environmental or related engineering field
    • 4-7 years of relevant stormwater engineering experience
    • Working proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel
    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, working toward Professional Engineer (PE) license
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary technical team
    • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
    • Local occasional travel to project sites will be needed.

    Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $75,000 to $110,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
