Job Summary and Qualifications:


  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Director of Medical Staff Services and to the Director of Professional Development

_For example_:

  • Files documents in physician and volunteer confidential credentials files.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Provides support to Director of Medical Staff Services in all phases of the credentialing process

_For example:
_

  • Tracks, reviews, and follows up on reappointments on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinates large mailings and blastfaxes
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to Director of Professional Development for the Volunteer program

_For example_:

  • Coordinates assignment and training of Volunteers within the facility
  • Tracks annual training requirements for Volunteers, Employee Health requirements and documentation.
  • Supports and coordinates Volunteer recognition events.

What qualifications you will need:


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the credentialing process as it pertains to the regulatory requirements of The Joint Commission, CMS and DHS, preferred.
  • Able to perform diverse duties with mínimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Internet and ability to learn physician credentialing database.
  • Ability to interact well with physicians and physician office staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

EDUCATION:

Associates in Business Administration

EXPERIENCE:


Preferred:

A minimum of one (1) year experience in medical staff services in the acute care setting with responsibility for assisting with the credentialing processes.
