Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to Compliance Lawyer and staff requests to perform conflicts of interest searches pertaining to laterals and other special projects
  • Act as a liaison between the Lateral Compliance Team and the Recruiting Teams by reviewing new conflict check requests for accuracy and completeness, determining deadlines, and followingup for more information as needed
  • Maintain conflict system integrity by inputting, updating, and retiring lateral data on an ongoing basis pursuant to set guidelines
  • Assist with other duties related to the resolution and clearance of the conflicts of interest issues, as assigned
  • Maintain and update conflicts and client matters databases, including data cleanup projects
  • Other administrative duties and special projects, as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least two years of professional experience
  • One year of conflicts or legal assistant experience, or similar law firm experience in a decisionmaking capacity, preferred
  • Professionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, responsiveness and excellent organizational skills required
  • High level of proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel required
  • Preferred experience with a legal industry standard conflicts database (i.e., Elite Enterprise Conflicts Manager, Intapp)
  • Demonstrate good judgment and accountability for delivering excellent service
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills; both written and oral
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt in an ever changing environment, including the ability to prioritize
  • Confident interacting with all levels of the organization, both legal and administrative
  • Reliable, flexible and a cando attitude in all situations is essential
