    Job DescriptionSalary:

    WHAT: We are accountants that offer concierge-level service.

    The senior associate will help us carry out our mission by 1) having a passion to learn, 2) having a passion to teach, and 3) providing an excellent service to our clients. Senior associates will receive countless hours of training and one-on-one coaching from managers. They will also offer countless hours of training and one-on-one coaching to associates and interns (generosity of time, in both coaching and being coached). Ultimately, the senior will have a breadth of expertise that is starting to grow to a deeper understanding in their practice area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project manages one or more client assignments simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
    • Prepares complex tax returns.
    • Sets priorities according to external deadlines and project criticality; knows when to raise priority setting conflicts to management.
    • Shares and transfers knowledge within the team.
    • Develops deeper knowledge and skills in technical field.
    • Actively pursues self-development opportunities.
    • Assists in proposal development and research gathering as requested.
    • Builds and nurtures strong working relationships with clients.
    • In consultation with the operations manager, starts to organize and suggest staffing solutions to achieve assignment objectives.
    • As a member of the team – oversees the implementation of solutions for clients.
    • Advises and coaches team members, provides consistent recognition and encouragement to team members, and sets an example by demonstrating high energy levels and enthusiasm.
    • Actively self-starts, doesn't need to be explicitly told to put in effort; when set, meets weekly/engagement hours expectations.
    • Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
    • Performs a detailed review of the team's work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
    • Actively supports new firm initiatives.
    • Oversees interactions with tax authorities including responses to tax notices and audit requests.
    • Takes on challenges; sees tasks through to completion, even if there are obstacles.
    • Adapts positively to varying work environments and changing circumstances, deadlines and schedules.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • CPA License required.
    • 2+ years of accounting experience, some or all of which was in public accounting.
