    Job Description

    Schunk Xycarb Technology, Inc., in Georgetown, Texas is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician for their facility in Georgetown, Texas. This is a full-time position with eligibility for all Xycarb benefits, including a sign-on bonus in the benefits package.

    Compensation is determined based on years of experience.

    The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in achieving Xycarb's business objectives by setting up, maintaining, and repairing machinery and facility equipment in accordance with safety and maintenance protocols.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position cover a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

    General Job Information

    • Perform proactive maintenance on various industrial production machinery
    • Demonstrate mechanical skills including basic electrical knowledge
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and diagrams
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards

    Machines and Equipment

    • Install and test production machinery and facility equipment
    • Train personnel on equipment operation
    • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues

    Regular Maintenance

    • Plan and execute preventive maintenance tasks
    • Analyze equipment conditions and manage spare parts
    • Solve problems to minimize downtime
    • Suggest and implement process improvements

    Emergency Repair

    • Diagnose and repair equipment issues
    • Create or repair parts using various tools

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Preferably formal training in Industrial Maintenance or CNC Maintenance
    • Prior experience in maintenance or related fields
    • Familiarity with a range of tools and equipment
    • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and other technical areas
    • Proficiency in using various computer programs
    • Ability to work autonomously or in a team
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

    Physical Requirements:

    • Bending, stooping, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
    • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with hazardous materials
    • Visual acuity required
    • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary

    Additional Requirements:

    Pre-employment testing and authorization to work in the US are mandatory.
