or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., with major study in Engineering, Industrial Arts, Property Management, or Business Administration.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-9: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) that includes providing a wide variety of administrative support functions of an office including providing program technical assistance and advice; drafting and proof reading correspondence; maintaining accurate record keeping; gathering, extracting researching and reviewing program records and data/information from various sources; maintaining a Microsoft Access database system; creating and maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; performing fact finding, problem analysis and problem solving task; experience in using the database systems; experience in reviewing vendor pay request, experience in preparing requisitions for service and construction projects; evaluating budget needs based on several factors and data; properly holding and using a Government credit card; reviewing travel documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.
or J.D., if related.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-7: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) that includes providing a wide variety of administrative support functions of an office to include answering questions on program processes and procedures; drafting and proof reading correspondence; data entry activates into Microsoft Access database applications; creating and maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; verifying, reconciling and rectifying documents, preparing budget cost estimates and justifications; reconciling fiscal reports; review travel vouchers; preparing time and attendance; purchasing supplies and services in accordance with detailed purchase regulations; experience in using database systems.
EDUCATION:
1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
GRADUATEEDUCATION:
Graduate education must be related to the occupation and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
SUPERIOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT:
Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled.
S.A.A.is based on (1) Class standing-applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class, based on completed courses; or (2) Grade-Point Average-applicants must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (3) Election to membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society - membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision.
