Are you an experienced Diesel Technician looking for your next position? Well, look no further Williams Dedicated is in search of a Diesel Technician to add to our talented Service team in Normal, IL

We would prefer someone with at least a year of experience completing preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and tractor-trailers. BUT if you have more - don't be afraid, we pay for experience


Shift:


  • 2nd Shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM Monday Friday (with shift differential)

Job Duties of a Diesel Technician:

  • Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, and installing component and part upgrades.
  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Correct vehicle problems by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling, and replacing assemblies such as: power and drive trains, air brake components, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, steering, hydraulics, oil systems, clutches, and traction units.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting diesel engine system with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniques preferred (i.e. Cummins Insite, Davie 4, and Tech Tool)
  • Knowledge of DPF System
  • Welding (experience not required)

Qualifications (Lame, but we have to have SOME):

  • A Valid Driver's License in good standing is REQUIRED
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of diesel maintenance
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
