JOB DESCRIPTION:
*Act as liaison with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, other job staff and owner's representatives in resolving issues related to plans and specifications.
*Manage the project budget.
*Manage submittals and shop drawings. Assess conformance to contract specifications. Resolve any conflicts in interpretation.
*Negotiate change orders. Manage information on changes in the work; prepare an independent analysis, as required; obtain and check estimates for the changes from subcontractor; obtain approval of the architect and owner; and resolve any conflicts.
*Oversee the close-out process. Prepare final records including RFIs, close-out records, warranties, as-builts, operation and maintenance manuals, attic stock, and spare parts, and evaluating information to insure compliance with contract documents.
*Supervise Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns, including providing input on performance appraisals.
*Prepare scope of work documents for trades.
*Develop reports including General Conditions Items, labor, safety, change order logs and quality control.
*Schedule and manage subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings and submittal review meetings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor'sdegree in Civil Engineering and 4 years of experience in job offered or 4 yearsof experience in the Related Occupation
RELATEDOCCUPATION:
VDC Engineer or any other job title performing the following jobduties:
*Reviewing andanalyzing BIM model information;
*Preparing scopeof work documents for trades producing and using BIM models;
*Resolving issuesrelated to plans and specifications, specifically as it relates toorganization, use, management, and BIM model updating, by interacting witharchitects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, other jobstaff and owner's representatives;
*Reviewingcoordination models and model-based submittals and shop drawings andassess conformance to contract specifications and resolve any conflicts ininterpretation;
*Attendingmeetings with design consultants, construction management consultants andcontractors to review baseline schedules and attending regularly schedulemeetings as necessary to stay current on schedules;
*Evaluating and adjusting dataregarding, resource requirements, commitment data and productivityvariance reports;
*Preparing 4D model for turnover onevery stage of built for owner to review and analyzing the complexity oflogistics.
*Scheduling projects and coveringdevelopment of baseline schedules, incorporating subcontractor schedules,scheduling, updating and analysis of progress, including projectcompliance processes and audits; and
*Developing reports includingreports/assessments on coordination meeting records and constraint.
