This position is a member of a team, which has the responsibility to provide technology innovation, architecture, design, engineering, deployment, and operations for the Unified Communications (Voice, Video, Messaging, and Contact Center) demands across the Stanford community.
The CT Senior Network Engineering position focuses on the innovation, architecture, design, engineering, deployment, along with representing escalation tier support for the shared networking infrastructure for the Unified Communications applications and services deployed across Stanford University and Healthcare environments.
Maintain documentation and diagrams for all L3/L2 related technologies and ensure that information is always current.
Be accountable and responsible for providing up-to-date documentation and standards for the ongoing administration and operational support of Stanford's UC shared networking infrastructure.
The Senior Network Engineering position will serve in an essential mentoring and training capacity for network operations engineers, in addition to being tier escalation support for them.
Provide presentations to upper management, peers, and clients as it pertains to the innovation, architecture, design, engineering, deployment, and operations of UC networking.
This position is expected to participate in 24/7 On-Call rotation.
Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related technology field, and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
In-depth experience in large-scale network design, implementation, analysis, and project managementCCNA, CCNP
Strong written and oral communication skills: proven presentation experience and comfort with senior management audiences and effective facilitation skills with diverse groups.
