The Role

Fidelity Institutional Technology is looking for an expert technologist with a passion for designing and delivering product solutions. If you want to work with one of Fidelity's most dynamic business areas, a role in our team that supports Fidelity Institutional managed accounts may be right for you

In this role you will use your knowledge of software development, platform integration, and cloud computing to craft solutions for institutional clients.

In addition, your responsibilities include working collaboratively with architecture, product, technical leaders, cross business unit teams and key vendors to drive the technical roadmap for solutions supporting our managed account business.

You will have responsibility for guiding long-term technical product solutions as a decision maker.

You will act as a key matrixed member of the FI Managed Accounts domain along with program management, product owner, and go-to-market leads for new product initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor's or higher degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) requiredExperience working with managed accounts and with multi-account management, SMA, UMA, and rep driven tech platforms strongly preferredComfortable working with and communicating to all levels of the organization including executive leadership and business partners regarding technology design and rationaleAbility to craft and understand and contribute to assessing architecture of sophisticated solutions that involve multiple business units and vendors utilizing multiple integration patterns.

Solid understanding of technology trends in implementing business applicationsDeep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation, micro-services, and experience in detailing APIs using an API documentation framework (Swagger)Excellent technical expertise and communication skills, both through written and verbal channels, to drive and participate in strategic and tactical planning discussionsAbility to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancementsStrong technical design and analysis skill as evidenced though previous platform development and solution deliveryFamiliarity with delivering solutions to the market and having them scale for user and volume growthCollaboration with business and technology partners to define and deliver our technology roadmap based upon business requirementsDigital demeanor and proficient across technology components including API services development and consumption using modern frameworks and open-source technologiesKnowledge of public and private cloud capabilities including compute, storage, database, and analyticsGood knowledge of data analysis/modelling, data development, and database management systemsConfirmed financial service industry experience required

The Team

FIT exists to enable our business partners to win their respective marketplaces by crafting, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and products of Fidelity's Institutional business units.

The FI Wealth Management Domain within FIT has a focus on creating & supporting the products that enable managed product distribution (both on and off platform).
