- Package executed loan documents
- Prepare boarding documents for submission to Loan Operations Unit.
- Ensure Conditions Precedent to closing are met and Credit Approvals are in place
- Review legal documentation and credit approval to confirm accuracy of transaction details.
- Data Attestation: Confirm loan system data matches Credit Approval Report.
- Create and manage Tickler reports (recorded documents, filed UCC-1, etc) as well as Loan Ticklers for ongoing tracking (financial covenants and reporting).
- Review loan calculation and disbursements
- Create/update/review Procedures as necessary
- Approve billing for various internal vendors - Lexis/Nexis, Experian, D&B, etc.
- Assist with the negotiation of vendor contracts
- Liaise with SMBC vendor team on the approval process and systematic compliance review related to 3rd party vendors
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Point person for various audits and quality assurance issues.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new information and systems
- At least 10 years of experience working in a loan operations/loan documentation department
- Problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience managing a team and coaching/training team members as required
- Familiarity with legal agreements and other aspects of loan documentation & collateral.

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $107,000.00and $147, The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Middle Office, this position will lead the Loan Closing & Administration team, working closely with colleagues in the Line of Businesses, Loan Documentation Unit, and Loan Operations Unit to help coordinate loan closing and booking, quality control on boarded loans, creation and management of tickler reports, and responding to inquiries. Act as a mentor and coach as well as cross-train other team members.
