- Facilitate patient access to social programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Disability, Food Stamps, Florida KidCare, and Cash Assistance while safeguarding True Health's financial interests.
- Guide patients through different social program options via personalized counseling sessions.
- Evaluate patient requirements and refer them to suitable community resources.
- Monitor and document patient progress in applying for assistance.
- Advocate on behalf of patients to help resolve issues related to resources.
- Participate in basic training sessions.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- Some college education is desirable.
- Preferably, one or more years of experience as front office staff in a healthcare environment with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Dexterity to use hands and fingers for handling tasks.
- Able to reach with hands and arms.
- Capable of prolonged use of a computer screen.
- Proficient in repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Effective communication with patients by listening and speaking.
