Job Summary
+Our client in Normal, IL is looking for an Electronics Assembly Technician.+The Manufacturing AI Installation Technician is responsible for building, installing and maintaining Petra AI devices & systems across the plant.
+
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
+Fabrication & Assembly.<+Cut,+drill,+tap and finish components using band saws,+drill presses,+hand drills,+grinders and other standard shop tools.+Read basic mechanical drawings / sketches and build to spec with minimal rework.+Station Installation (Body / Paint / GA).+Install Petra AI devices,,camera mounts and enclosures in Body Shop,,Paint Shop and General Assembly to defined standards (height,,,angle,,,clearances,,,datum references)+Route and secure cables (power,,,,Ethernet) neatly and safely through existing trays,,,,conduit or new supports following Our Client's safety + labelling standards.+Work around existing tooling,,,,robots,,,,conveyors + access platforms; coordinate with ME,,Controls + Operations to schedule work in live production areas.,Field Adjustments & Quality.,Perform on-line adjustments to camera aim,focus + framing working alongside AI + controls engineers during station bring-up trials.,Verify mechanical integrity of installations (torque checks,fastener verification,gardening clearances to moving equipment)+Document as-built conditions (photos,simple sketches measurement logs) feed back improvements to standards+Safely use ladders,,,,scissor lifts + platforms access elevated installations follow all fall-protection,LOTO area access procedures+,Maintain an organized work area manage small hardware inventory fasteners brackets extrusion keep shared tools good condition+,Support safe integration of Petra hardware around robots weld cells ovens conveyors partnership Controls EHS+,Cross-Funtional Collaboration Partner with Manufacturing AI team translate station concepts practical mounting routing solutions Coordinate shop engineers/operations minimize downtime installs rework Provide clear status updates installation progress issues material needs+BAsics High school diploma equivalent p years experience manufacturing maintenance fabrication industrial installation role ME tech maintenance tech machine builder installer p Demonstrated ability safely use hand power tools drills saws drivers grinders taps etc Experience basic metal fabrication drilling cutting deburring assembling structures Ability work height ladders platforms lifts production environments noise heat overspray tight spaces following safety requirements Ability lift carry ~50 lbs perform repetitive physical tasks shift Comfortable using basic computer tools email Microsoft Office Google Workspace Docs Sheets Drive record work communicate team Preferred Experience aluminum extrusion systems e.g 80/20 similar cutting tapping squaring assembling frames brackets Prior installation work Body Shop Paint Shop General Assembly cameras sensors tooling guarding vision systems Familiarity reading simple mechanical drawings layouts transferring dimensions physical install Basic understanding industrial cabling Ethernet power best practices strain relief labelling routing Experience supporting machine vision sensors automation projects Comfortable working cross-functionally ME IE Controls Operations external contractors ,valid_jobJob description
