As a General Manager you will be empowered to lead seasonal merchandising setups, identify sales and promotional opportunities, ensure proper execution of receiving and stocking processes, and most importantly, develop and support team members to maximize their potential in their roles.

Providing phenomenal customer service is the key element to Mackey's success.

As a General Manager you are the leader who ensures the best customer experience possible while maintaining the best work environment possible.

Work environment:


Mackey's is a fast-paced retail environment that involves continuous interaction with customers, team members, and the ongoing evolution of the store.

Responsibilities require active movements that include reaching, bending, and lifting. Product weights range from lbs., with occasional variances due to product condition. Seasonality of the business and corresponding product offerings involves the exposure to varying temperatures and allergens. Environment requires spending a prolonged period of time on her or his feet, standing or walking, continuously between breaks.

  • Leadership qualities such as leading by example and supporting the success of team members.
  • Exhibit organization and prioritization skills to complete deliverables within deadlines while managing intermittent requests and interruptions.
  • Recognize and seek opportunities to learn more about products and processes to enhance Mackey's customer experience.
  • Properly handle, maintain, and store merchandise to ensure product integrity and safety for customers and team members.
  • Proficient in Windows based software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Maintain teamwork and diversity awareness by having an inclusive approach to working with customers and team members.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Experience independently leading others to accomplish a desired goal, while navigating challenges
  • Customer service, cashier, accounting office and/or service desk experience, particularly in a retail setting
  • Write and speak clearly, concisely and with tact in a variety of settings using effective communication skills; demonstrating empathy and respect for others at all times

Age Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older
