    Description

    About the job:
    This position is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Substation Design. The company is looking for a candidate to join their team to work on various engineering projects.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Continuously learning and staying up-to-date on design guides, standards, engineering codes, and policies
    • Applying knowledge to assigned tasks


    Quality/Continuous Improvement:

    • Applying knowledge and complying with quality programs
    • Supporting continuous improvement and change management efforts


    Engineering Production:

    • Preparing engineering deliverables
    • Performing research and making recommendations for equipment and materials
    • Collecting and managing data
    • Preparing engineering calculations
    • Understanding and adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
    • Identifying and resolving problems


    Project Coordination:

    • Assigning tasks and coordinating with team members
    • Contacting other disciplines for work coordination


    Client Focus:

    • Understanding client interests and drivers
    • Applying this understanding to work performance
    • Supporting business development activities


    Knowledge Sharing, Innovation, and Technology:

    • Sharing knowledge of technology and processes


    People Management:

    • Assisting with performance management, mentoring, and any required actions


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Substation Design experience
    • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineering (PE) License


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering
    • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
    • Ability to complete pre-employment requirements if selected
