The Contractor shall coordinate technical issues between the Government and the support teams, and across internal and external stakeholder organizations.

The Contractor shall provide support to meet system operational availability requirements as defined for each NOAA System.


Requirements:


Building Utility and Other Logistics Support


This work includes scheduling and overseeing preventative maintenance on the NCEI phone system, moving and installing phones as required, serving as the point of contact for all facilities infrastructure issues that arise in NCEI areas within buildings owned by GSA or other entities, planning/installing/removing office furniture and cubicles, performing electrical work associated with cubicle removal/installation.

Provide planning and labor needed to install, relocate, or remove office furniture including, but not limited to:

cubicles, whiteboards, desks, cabinets, file drawers, etc.

  • The Contractor shall not be responsible for the installation, relocation, or removal of personal items such as clocks, decorations, or any other items not purchased by the Government.
  • Serve as front man to assist the COR in validating completion of the work.
  • Perform in conjunction with installing, moving, and repairing cubicles, and replacing light bulbs.
  • Conduct facilities safety tours through NCEI space as requested. Report findings to the NCEI Safety Officer (if other than the NCEI Logistics Branch Chief).
  • Assist with distribution of printer and related supplies.
  • Reconfigure cubicles and phones, perform furniture moves, etc., as requested through the NCEI Help Desk and relayed to the Contractor. Included under this paragraph is coordinating with the NCEI Logistics Branch Chief to consolidate supply and storage areas layouts in an effort to optimize space. Activities shall be completed by the date set by the Technical Lead.
  • Prepare conference rooms (setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, podiums and related items). This includes arranging seating, tables, power and network connections, and other items associated with the user's meeting activity. The work shall be completed at least 1 hour before the start of the meeting/activity.
  • As assigned, escort thirdparty vendors performing an installation or facilityrelated service complex areas and assist in validating acceptable performance of thirdparty support work, as applicable.
  • Minor patching and painting of walls
  • Installation and/or removal of office wall furniture such as whiteboards, etc.

Shipping and Receiving Equipment
The Contractor shall provide services and support for shipment and receipt activities

Tasks include:


  • Perform shipping and receiving functions for equipment or spare parts acquired or items for return to vendors or suppliers, including equipment or spare parts received for repair.
  • Assemble items, containers, boxes and crates to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Unpack and route items received to appropriate storage areas.
  • Utilize Governmentprovided shipping accounts with carriers to ship packages to the required locations upon request of the authorized Government official.
  • Perform and verify proper tagging of all Government equipment with DOC barcodes and any other identifying information during quarterly inventories, per property management guidelines.

Property Accountability


A Contractor Property Contact is designated by the Government Property authority to assist with acquire, inventory, and disposal of NOAA property assigned to the custodial area.

The Property Contact performs various functions to support the management of NOAA property, e.g., affixing a PIN, submitting paperwork, or conducting the inventory

Tasks include:


  • Assist with maintenance of records for accountable personal property within an assigned custodial area
  • Assist in initiating or processing documents affecting the accountability or custody of personal property in accordance with NESDIS procedures.
  • Maintain a listing of personal property used for official purposes.
  • Identify/ report to the Government excess property.
  • Submit reports to the Government regarding lost, missing, stolen, destroyed, damaged, or rendered unserviceable accountable personal property.
  • Affix PIN labels onto accountable personal property.
  • Assist the Government with physical inventories, and reconciling inventory records.
