Payroll Tax Accountant - Jefferson City, United States - Centene Corporation
Description

Applicants for this role will need to come into the Clayton, MO office about once a month.
**Position Purpose:** Prepare, review and process tax filings, and process state tax credit reports and filing.
+ Maintain federal, state, and local tax rates by Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN).
+ Prepare tax accruals for future tax liabilities.
+ Complete W-2 C's and prepare reconciliations to send to tax service to complete amendment.
+ Complete registration applications, and other reports/reconciliations as needed.
+ Prepare tax calculations for tax provision and tax returns.
+ Prepare state credit calculations.
+ Research information for federal and state tax audits.
+ Tax planning and special projects as needed.
**Education/Experience:**
+ Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years payroll tax experience.
+ Previous accounting experience preferred.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
+ Experience with PeopleSoft and ADP preferred.
Pay Range: $ $46.68 per hour

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
