- Bachelor's degree in Math/Science or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of developmental math theory, practices, and assessment techniques preferred.
- Health care experience or experience teaching/tutoring health sciences required.
- Experience teaching/tutoring developmental math/science preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the unique needs of students in career programs and a commitment to supporting diverse student populations preferred.
- Knowledge of computer applications, software packages, and the Internet required.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC Educational Employee part-time grant-funded position of Health Sciences/Math Specialist at the East Saint Louis Campus.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this individual will report to the Coordinator, Success Center or the Associate Dean of Success Programs.
The specialist will integrate academic skills and college transitional programming with students and act as liaison between the Success Center and East St.
Louis Higher Education Campus. The specialist will work a flexible schedule and may assist at other campuses as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$26.13 per hour, up to 28 hours per week.
WORK LOCATION
East St. Louis Campus with district wide responsibility.
