Safety & Regulatory Specialist

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • CDC guidance in relation to healthcare professionals in ambulatory settings.
In addition to employee safety activities, the Safety Office also supports ACP's annual HIPAA Security Risk Assessment.


Essential Job Duties

  • Support the New Employee Testing & Immunization (NETI) Program.
  • Review and assess incoming data and information to determine testing and immunization requirements.
  • Manage testing and immunization with HR Coordinator, the incoming team member, their manager, and others as appropriate.
  • Document and track immunizations and testing in Excel, manage multiple data sets, recording, tracking, summarizing, and analyzing data.
  • Review incident reports, gather necessary information from staff and document investigation findings. Investigating incidents, documenting findings and collaborating with affected staff to identify ways to avoid similar future incidents.
  • Prepare and maintain various Safety training courses and programs, primarily delivered via Bridge LMS, occasionally in a classroom setting or facetoface.
  • Develop, review and/or update assigned procedures and other documents, identifying conflicts and/or gaps.
  • Perform a variety of administrative support functions including reviewing content of policies, procedures, standing orders, tip sheets, forms, and training materials to identify conflicts and/or gaps with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned within the Safety Office or Operations Department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Higher-education degree preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & TRAITS

  • Two or more years of administrative experience in a professional environment. Clinical experience (e.g., MA or other healthcare professional) in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency preferred.
  • Equipped with technical skills necessary to understand, track and manage data.
  • A strong work ethic and high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to build rapport while exercising discretion.
  • Excellent judgement and critical thinking skills.
  • Ease in maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to receive and act on constructive criticism.
  • Diligence and accuracy with respect to data entry and documentation.
  • Courteous and judicious in conduct, written, and oral communications, respecting privacy and maintaining silence where appropriate.
  • Confidently communicate with medical professionals and staff at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Hours: Parttime 1620 hours/week
  • Schedule: Days (M-F) and hours per day (8a5p) negotiable
