- You will prepare and assemble instrument procedural trays for sterilization.
- Operate gas and steam sterilizer, cart washer, sonic washer, decontamination
- Decontaminate supplies according to department policy; washer decontamination, sonic cleaner, cart washer, or hand wash.
- You will deliver specified supplies daily to units, woman's clinic, nursery and patient care diagnostic areas.
- Prepare and assemble instruments per listing for birth rooms, clinics, and operating rooms.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Central Sterile Supply department is preferred to include: Proper identification of instruments and preparation of trays for Operating Room use.
- Must have knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies, surgical instrumentation, and medical terminology.
- Must be able to appropriately and effectively react to requests for emergency supplies.
- Sterile Processing Certification required (CRCST or CSPDT) within 18 months of employment.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Central Sterile Technician will prepare OR surgical case carts decontamination and sterilization of re-processable supplies, equipment and surgical instruments consistent with innovation of patient care.
