We have an amazing Quality Inspector opportunity with a world class manufacturer that offers lots of advancement potential Seeking a quality inspector of machined parts with experience in dimensional inspection, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read blueprints plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined components.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • As a quality inspector, you must be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints. This includes understanding symbols, tolerances, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and other specifications that define the required dimensions and features of the machined parts.
  • Your primary responsibility is to measure machined parts to ensure they meet the specified dimensions and tolerances outlined in the blueprints. This involves using various measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify the size and geometry of features like holes, diameters, lengths, angles, and more.
  • Calipers are precision measuring tools used to check external dimensions (outer diameters, lengths, etc.) of machined parts. You should be skilled in using both vernier and digital calipers to ensure accuracy.
  • Micrometers are highly accurate instruments used to measure dimensions with great precision. You must be able to operate outside micrometers, inside micrometers, and depth micrometers as needed.
  • Quality inspectors are responsible for identifying and documenting any discrepancies or nonconformities in machined parts. You need to understand the tolerance limits specified in the blueprints and determine whether the parts meet these criteria.
  • Accurate recordkeeping is essential in this role. You will need to document your inspection results and any deviations from the blueprint specifications. This documentation is often used for traceability and process improvement.

Skills/Qualifications:


  • Identifying recurring issues and suggesting process improvements can lead to higher product quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
  • Experience using calipers and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, such as ISO, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems.
  • Ability to Identify root causes of quality problems and working on corrective and preventive actions is a part of the job.

Hours:1st Shift, Full time
