- Good secondary school diploma (or higher)
- Good knowledge of mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and German
- Technical understanding, analytical thinking and a good understanding of numbers
- The training lasts 3 years, including:
- Practical training in the company
- Theoretical training at the Solingen vocational school (block lessons)
