We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Prior Authorizations to join our Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing incoming calls or incoming post services claims work.
  • Obtains and inputs preauthorization insurance and demographic information into the appropriate medical/scheduling system. Verifies patient benefits and eligibility prior to completing referral
  • Determines contract and benefit eligibility; provides authorization for inpatient admission, outpatient precertification, prior authorization, and post service requests.
  • Responsible for the identification and data entry of referral requests into the system in accordance with the plan certificate.
  • Responds to telephone and written inquiries from clients, providers and inhouse departments.
  • Conducts clinical screening process.
  • Checks benefits for facilitybased treatment.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
Essential

  • Must be able to work Monday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Insurance eligibility and benefits experience
  • Prior authorization experience
  • Medical terminology
  • Bilingual in Spanish
Preferred

  • Experience in medical or insurance field
  • NextGen
