Project specific activities include:

  • Installation of Energy use monitoring such as working with power demand meters
  • Documentation of project activities, schedules, budgets, work plans, issues, and results

Company Background


APenergy is a technical consulting firm that helps manufacturing plants save energy and reduce operating costs of their major energy-using systems, such as compressed air, process cooling, controls, motor-pump groups, and other industrial processes.

We identify, evaluate, and help implement quick payback solutions, as well as long-term capital projects.

For more than 35 years APenergy has been a nation's leader in troubleshooting and improving compressed air systems.

The practical experience we have gained from completing more than 1,500 system assessments and 900 project installations allows us to address most any compressed air system problem, regardless of air system type, size, or industry.


Fast forward to the last four years, more than 80% of our revenues are performance-based and contingent on metered results of our projects.

We operate the country's most successful service that evaluates and implements savings projects to customers through the creative use of utility incentives to pay for our services.

The key function we provide is comprehensive project management while increasing project KPIs so our clients feel like we are an extension of their energy management departments.

In addition to the roles required in this position, APenergy is positioned to serve as a suite of solutions for delivering:

  • Energy Demand
  • compressed air systems, process cooling systems, automation controls, VFDs, hydraulics, and lighting
  • Energy Supply solar, combined heat and power (CHP), waste heat recovery, supply reliability, power quality, purchase power agreements (PPAs), and electric and gas supply programs
  • Project Implementation mechanical and electrical contractors, design / build packages, project management, commissioning, training, and ongoing maintenance
  • Project Funding utility incentives, practical leasing packages, tax credits, and opportunity zonebased funding

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with our internal teams to generate proposals in response to customer requests and provided information.
  • Complete awarded projects by coordinating with management on manpower and material resources while placing an extremely high level of importance on customer interaction during this process.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal resources.
  • Conduct proactive consultative needs with existing customers, including the development of client centric product solutions.
  • Collaborate with the estimating group to design, develop and deliver proposals
  • Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs.
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company's reputation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience installing steam piping insulation.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work independently with strong selfmanagement and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency as required for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Excellent customer service and communications skills (oral and written).
  • Is both fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments.
  • Experience with being the primary customer contact for assigned accounts. Must be customer service oriented.

Working Conditions
Typical - Work is normally performed in the field at various industrial manufacturing facilities or at home. APenergy does maintain an office located in the Columbus Ohio area.
