Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented Part-Time Publicist to join our team.

As we continue to expand our transformative work, we are looking for a skilled communicator who can help us share our story and mission with the world.

In this role, you will collaborate with our team to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns, cultivate media relationships, and amplify our impact through compelling storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic PR campaigns to increase visibility and awareness of our firm's transformative work in the education sector
• Pitch stories and secure media coverage in relevant education publications, online platforms, and mainstream media outlets
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in the education space
• Write press releases, media pitches, thought leadership articles, and other PR materials to effectively communicate our firm's mission and impact
• Monitor media coverage and analyze results to inform future PR efforts and strategy
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify key messaging and storytelling opportunities
• Stay informed about industry trends and developments in the education sector

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or related field, preferably in the education sector
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and communicate complex ideas effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
• Passion for education and a commitment to transformative work in the education sector

Terms of Employment:

• This is a contract position with no benefits.
• Hourly Rate: $3550/hr
