- Tracks research proposal and grants as they move through pre and post award activities;
- Helps develop proposal budgets, detailed cost analyses and budget justifications;
- Liaises closely with Research Administration
- Administers grants to ensure accuracy and compliance with award and institutional guidelines.
- Manages sponsored, gift and endowment contracts;
- Reviews transactions and works with the finance team to appropriately apply internal controls;
- Works closely with the Lab team to establish accounts, maintain accurate financial records
- Keeps grant proposal team apprised of developments in post-award grants management

The Grants Manager provides life-cycle administration of federal and non-federal sponsored awards and manages internal research funding. S/he proactively establishes relationships with the funded project teams and partners with Research Administration Office and Office for Sponsored Programs to provide expert guidance on all sponsored research issues.
