PRIMARY TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist employees in resolving work related personnel problems beyond the control of the first line supervisor.
  • Conduct reference checks and administer skills tests as may be necessary for employment purposes.
  • Conduct worker's compensation investigations and safety compliance audits.
  • Manage unemployment issues, investigations and records.
  • Represent the company with worker's compensation, unemployment and like issues.
  • Leadership in promoting safety among employees.
  • Administer company wide communications programs such as bulletin boards, and Direct Line programs.
  • Administer plant wide attendance guidelines program and maintain discipline logs. Assist supervision as necessary on all written disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct investigations and research as necessary related to disciplinary problems.
  • Manage hourly wage and appraisal program.
  • Administer hourly bonus program; prepare and maintain reports and records.
  • Assist in conducting employment relations programs such as Service Awards, Athletic Teams, Company picnics and other such programs.
  • Administer Hourly Posting and Transfer Procedure; support team interviewers.
  • Maintain all records as necessary incidental to performance of job duties.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

SECONDARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May develop and conduct training programs
  • Represent the Company as requested at various meetings in the community, professional societies or government agencies.
  • Will assist in the recruiting of production and skill trade employees
