    As a Design Engineer at PCM USA, INC your role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production methods, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    No Relocation. Must live in Houston Texas

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Design & Drafting:

    Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings of pump components and systems.
    Develop innovative pump designs that meet performance specifications, including flow rate, pressure, and efficiency.
    Standardize product offering to increase usage on common parts.
    Designing pump skids
    Converting metric drawings to imperial to suit local US market.

    2. Material Selection and Specifications:

    Evaluate and select appropriate materials for pump components based on performance, durability, and cost considerations.
    Create material specifications and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality materials for production.

    3. Manufacturability and Process Optimization:

    Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses to optimize pump manufacturing processes.
    Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop efficient production methods while maintaining product quality and consistency.

    4. Quality Assurance:

    Collaborate with quality control teams to develop and implement quality assurance protocols for pump manufacturing.
    Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure pumps meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

    5. Documentation and Standards Compliance:

    Maintain detailed documentation of pump designs, specifications, and test results.
    Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems throughout the design and manufacturing processes.

    6. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

    Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to develop cost estimates for pump design projects.
    Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising pump performance or reliability.

    7. Collaboration and Communication:

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturing engineers, and sales teams, to ensure alignment with project goals.
    Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drafting.
    Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and mechanical principles.
    Experience with pump design and development, preferably in industrial or food applications.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    Strong mechanical aptitude.
