Solution/Project Engineer
The Solution/Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering submittals required on key design contracts and acts as the lead technical point of contact for the project team.
A successful candidate will have experience reviewing customer specifications for their technical content, engaging with product marketing experts, and overseeing the generation of an overall BMS solution for a larger project team.
The Project Engineer will provide engineering and equipment subcontractor oversight in close partnership with the overall Project Manager.You'll break new ground by:
Reviewing customer specifications, technical documents, and product requirements for key projects.
Preparing comprehensive engineering documents, including drawing packages, equipment submittals, and testing specifications.
Creating system one-line diagrams and determining the most cost-effective technology solutions for customers.
Evaluating tender specifications and selecting sensors and control valves.
Developing project execution plans and cost estimates according to customer requirements.
Identifying and mitigating project risks and liabilities.
Collaborating with internal and external teams, supporting project turnover, assisting in bid strategies, coordinating with vendors, conducting inspections, and driving process improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
You'd describe yourself as:
Having a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Advanced Diploma in Building Automation and Services or relevant.
Possessing at least 3 years of experience in a technical role, which may involve system design, HVAC design, commissioning, or installation.
Having industry knowledge of Controls systems, Chilled water systems, and Chiller Plant optimization (Green Mark) design and installation requirements. Having strong organizational skills, particularly in managing large engineering submittal packages. Possessing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal and external customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AutoCAD experience is a plus.Having the ability to set and manage priorities, work across various functions and departments, and advantageous experience in mega projects (e.g., LTA Railway), Data Centers, Medical, or Pharmaceutical sectors.
