    Shift Available:
    Full-time (40 hours/weekly) 8a-5p. Our Internal Medicine Clinic is a teaching facility. We provide care for sick people and well visits. We over primary care to our patients. The clinic has a mix of Nurses and Medical Assistants working as a team. A great deal of our staff is tenured.

    Elevate your career with OU Health's LPN to BSN Degree Accelerator program through the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing, designed to empower Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to seamlessly transition to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

    We shoulder the financial responsibility, covering costs for LPNs in the LPN to BSN RN program, which offers asynchronous classes, Oklahoma-based clinical rotations, and internet-based coursework to accommodate working nurses.

    This flexible hybrid program, spanning 60 credit hours, blends 30 credit hours from advanced standing examination and 30 from program enrollment, providing an accessible pathway for LPNs to enhance their education and professional growth within the nursing field.

    This benefit is available to those OU Health Employees who: ​
    Are Full-Time and Part-Time (0.Have been continuously employed by OU Health for a minimum of 6 months ​
    All those admitted to the program must remain employed by OU Health through program completion. ​

    Under general supervision provides preventative and health care to an assigned group of patients or clients in an OU Health facility.

    Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
    Administers medications safely under direction of physician or other medical personnel
    Provide care according to an established nursing plan.
    Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
    Communicates systematic report to other care providers.
    Assisting in the coordination of care delivery; utilizes resources to promote the continuum of care.
    Employs strategies to promote health in a safe environment.
    Documents progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
    Uses quality and evidence based practice to deliver and improve care.
    Works closely with more experienced clinicians for guidance and supervision.
    Triage telephone calls for referral to other clinical team members
    License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s)

    Required:

    Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC) required.

    Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
    Ability to organize, coordinate, plan and evaluate nursing needs of assigned patients.
    Must be knowledgeable about operating room techniques if applying for a surgery position.
