Primary Responsibilities:


  • Daily entry of bills of lading and related documents,
  • Process invoices for payment in a timely fashion by adhering to preestablished policies and procedures,
  • Respond to vendor and/or team member questions and inquiries in a timely fashion,
  • Set up and maintain vendor files as needed,
  • Generate and maintain accounts payable data using the company s proprietary and nonproprietary systems,
  • Stay abreast of relevant industry and functional A/P knowledge,
  • Perform other duties as assigned,

Required Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years accounts payable experience,
  • Direct experience in the petroleum industry is preferred,
  • Basic understanding of fuel types is preferred,
  • Significant data entry experience with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail,
  • Experience using accounting software,
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to maintain orderly file/work area,
  • Solid understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an A/P environment,
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word,
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills,
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment to ensure deadlines are met, particularly during the monthend accounting close,
  • Logistics experience is a plus,

Required Education & Certification:


  • Associate degree in accounting or business administration or similar preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Houston, TX. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and range from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
