Description

We are looking for a Cashier to conduct all transactions with customers accurately, efficiently and with a positive attitude Cashier responsibilities include taking payments, making work orders, issuing receipts and maintaining a clean space.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and some knowledge of how cash registers operate.

You should be available to work a minimum of one weekend day per week and be willing to learn and take direction in a fast-paced work environment.

• Deliver excellent customer service
• Showcase professionalism at all times
• Engage with customers and provide guidance to accurate departments via phone and in person
• Mastering our POS cashiering system
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash, check, or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, accurate change, placing customer orders for delivery, product exchanges
• Upsell and suggest new or relevant products
• Maintain quality customer service during difficult situations and in a fastpaced environment
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Bag or box merchandise, assist in carry outs where possible

• Work experience as a retail cashier or similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Experience with POS preferred
• Hardware/Building Material knowledge preferred
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer service
• High school degree preferred

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• High school or equivalent (required)

• Retail: 1 year (required)

• Driver's License (required)
