General Summary


The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating all daily activity related to the safe and efficient operation of WITRON's advanced automated material handling system in order to meet or exceed customer production targets.

A successful Production Manager will understand the operational and business needs of our customer and effectively engage with all levels of operation to drive collaboration, innovation, and success.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary deputy to Site Manager both internally and externally for customer relations, employee matters, and operational decisions
  • Generate, analyze, and provide feedback relating to a variety of production and KPI reports to ensure superior, datadriven operational output
  • Drive departmental and team operational excellence through regular process reviews and realtime feedback based on measurable deliverables
  • Partner with the Site Manager to fully understand customer service expectations and implement necessary changes to processes and procedures to constantly improve performance
  • Manage employee headcounts through effective workforce planning, drive responsible labor costs, and support resultsdriven team structure
  • Maintain open, effective, and responsive communication with the customer on all aspect of operations directly impacting the customers' expectations
  • Attend and, in the case of the Site Manager's unavailability, chair staff meetings
  • Promote a "Safety First" mindset in all activities
  • Coordinate and supervise all production team activity in accordance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and maintenance team to effectively schedule preventive and repair maintenance activities to minimize impact to daily production
  • Action immediate resolutions to irregular operations through careful and impactful review of process deviations and implementation of innovative and effective solutions
  • Approach each day with a continuous improvement mindset and drive all levels of the organization to strive to be better
  • Provide leadership for colleagues by mentoring future leaders, promoting open communication between teams, coaching on process and procedural compliance, leading training & development initiatives, and promoting the company's values

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2 or 4year college degree or trade school certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Previous experience in warehouse, supply chain, manufacturing, or industrial sectors

Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with basic logistics and supply chain principles
  • Basic understanding of automated material handling systems
  • Customeroriented communication and management
  • Proven track record of team building
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and workload in a fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity
  • P & L experience
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise a team of colleagues working in shift patterns
  • Experience in scheduling and/or overseeing planned, preventive, and unplanned maintenance
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements

  • Wear appropriate personnel protective equipment in all safetysensitive areas
  • Be capable of continuous walking, standing, and climbing
  • Lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.

Travel


This role may require occasional domestic and/or international travel in order to undergoing relevant training, to attend internal and/or customer meetings, and/or to support other WITRON facilities as needed.


Shifts

  • Flexibility to work any shift as required by operational needs Ability to be oncall as needed to ensure operational integrity
