We have seven locations across Tucson, from Downtown on the West to the far Southeast side.

Ace Hardware Stores, Inc. offers pay from $14 - $20.

00per hour DOE and a benefits package consisting of:

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team.

Customer Service:

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standards
• Provide a positive representation
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when leaving the store
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and associates
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on premise of amaze every customer, every time.

Store Operations:

• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking merchandise throughout the store
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels
• Assist with the daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
• Responsive of safety issues
• Conscious of shoplifting activity
• Be professional in appearance and actions
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position include:

• Education/Training: GED or High School degree, some college preferred. Posses a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn.
• Experience: Sales and marketing experience with retail programs, establishing relationships and working with customers
• Previous experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, or back office.
• Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
