As the heartbeat of our salon, you'll play a key role in supporting our lead Hairstylist and contributing to the overall success of our budding team.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

General administrative support and shampoo assistant duties by booking and [re]scheduling clients, managing back bar and retail inventory, and other general office duties as needed.

As well as daily salon maintenance and assistance to ensure a smooth and productive day for the stylist.

Hosting:Welcome all guests to the salon and greet them by their name if applicable. Let them know who you are and that you will be getting them started for their service.

Guest Communication: Listen to client's requests and be available to suggest products or services. Update clients on new retail products or promotions.

Guest Preparation: Shampooing, Conditioning, Blow Drying, braiding down hair for extension installations, mixing colors, and providing non-chemical treatments to clients in preparation for final service/styling with lead hairstylist.

Maintain Salon Cleanliness: Straightening up shampoo area/ salon station including products. Restock snack area and keep tools and equipment clean & sanitized. Clean sinks in between clients. Maintain a supply of clean towels and capes. Wash and put away laundry. Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instruments. Wipe down surfaces in between clients. Sweep floors in between services.

Monitoring, restocking, and maintaining Salon Inventory:Identify products that are running low and need to be replaced/purchased soon. Stock towels, retail inventory and back bar products.

Social Media Content Creation: Brainstorm/Research, record, and execute relevant content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to showcase our salon's work and attract new clients.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A passion for the cosmetology industry and be willing to learn from experienced stylists
• Great customer service skills and professional appearance
• Must be a proactive selfstarter with the ability to take initiative, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work under pressure
• Must be a "People Person" who can help clients feel welcome and comfortable in our salon
• Prior salon experience preferred but not required
• Flexible schedule
• Proficiency in Social Media
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time

COMPENSATION:

D. Renee' Hair provides hourly rates for shampoo assistants with regular possibility of obtaining tips.
