Maintenance Technician C

The Utilities and Maintenance department is responsible for the efficient operation, management and upkeep of all campus electricity, heating and cooling, as well as the repair and upkeep of all electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and roofing maintenance at the University.

This department and the team of engineers, power plant operators, zone managers, technicians, mechanics and administrators service over 11 million gross square feet of campus facilities and lead the University's efforts to reduce its carbon emissions footprint by 50 percent by 2030.


Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have previous technical school or apprenticeship program experience.

Must have 2 years of experience with the following:


  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical Background
  • Controls, Pneumatics, Electronics
Must possess the following special knowledge, abilities or skills:

  • Building HVAC systems, controls and associated equipment knowledge.
  • Pneumatic/electronic controls, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Computer literacy to allow for interface with Work Order Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
