Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Lead to oversee the daily construction activities across PACE Supply. The Construction Lead will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with project stakeholders to ensure projects meet expectations.

This includes managing construction activities for projects and subcontractors, ensuring overall progress, scheduling workers, and coordinating equipment and material deliveries.

The Construction Lead will also personally perform a variety of trades, maintain a safe job site, and ensure compliance with all work rules and regulations


Responsibilities:


  • Oversees work of general and subcontractors.
  • Manages the PACE Construction Team.
  • Ensures overall progress of projects.
  • Schedules and coordinates subcontractors.
  • Arranges equipment and material deliveries.
  • Works with others to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Gathers competitive bids from multiple subcontractors.
  • Makes recommendations to Construction Manager.
  • Personally, performs construction work.
  • Assists in preparing budgets.
  • Maintains updates in Asana.
  • Draws project plans electronically (Visio or equivalent).
  • Ensures all team members and contractors follow safe practices.
  • Conducts daily safety Tailgate Talks before starting work.
  • Travel to various PACE branches

Qualifications:

Minimum Work Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. A combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.
  • 2 years field construction lead experience.
  • 5 years overall commercial construction experiencegood understanding of structural framing, foundations, as well as both rough and finish carpentry.
  • Ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment.
  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to adapt and think on your feet / selfstarter.
  • Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of team.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft and Apple products.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge of legal issues and safety standards.
  • Valid Drivers license required.

Work Environment:

Work Environment
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
