Upper School Spanish Short-Term Leave Replacement 2024-2025 - DENVER, United States - Colorado Academy
Description
Colorado Academy seeks a full-time Spanish teaching candidate to cover a leave of absence during the first half of the school year. The position begins August 26, 2024 and ends with winter break, December 19, 2024. It includes two sections of Spanish III (low-intermediate, grades , 20th Century Hispanic Literature ASR (Advanced Studies and Research, grade 12) and Spanish for Heritage Speakers (grades and an advisory.
Candidates should have experience, training, and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching Spanish in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level. Candidates should be interested in working on a team of Spanish teachers (Spanish III), as well as working autonomously (20th Century Lit and Heritage) to implement a planned curriculum.
Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm. Additionally, candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the school community, which includes serving as an advisor. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated intercultural competence, which we define as the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences, is a must.
As with all CA teachers, we ask that our short-term leave replacement Spanish teacher carry out the CA Mission, "Creating Curious, Kind, Courageous, and Adventurous Learners and Leaders," and support the vision of the Upper School.
