Job Duties

Implementing new product models with accuracy and efficiency enables GEICO to continue to be a leader in the competitive auto insurance industry.


As a Product Deployment Analyst, your job duties will include developing and implementing streamlined processes for the rollout of multiple types of insurance products.

You'll work with different business departments including UW, Claims, Marketing and Advertising to achieve their business goals in terms of delivering new product models to consumers and understanding the impact to new and existing customers.


You will perform product deployment independently and collaboratively, work with cross-functional business and technical teams on business/analytical innovation, support project-related communication and model/analytical process implementation, and perform ad-hoc analytical research.


You will be part of a team that is focused on innovation in the insurance industry: developing new tools, discovering ways to automate and streamline processes, deriving enhanced methodologies and implementing them in order to maximize GEICO's competitive edge.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research or related quantitative and analytics fields and a minimum of 1 year analytical work experience
  • OR
  • Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research or related quantitative and analytics fields
  • Basic skills in MS Office and MS Visio, including the ability to illustrate technical concepts
  • Demonstrated skills in Excel, including the ability to create, manipulate and formulate spreadsheets using lookup functions, pivot tables, charts and graphing
  • Demonstrated skills in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), including the ability to write conditional statements, program loops, pass variables between macros, and open connections to data sources
  • Demonstrated skills in SQL database concepts and design, including complex queries and joins, normalization, ETL and data models
  • Demonstrated skills in programming languages (such as Python, R)
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of collaborative programming tools and repos (such as Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub)
  • Knowledge of statistical software and reporting tools (such as SAS, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of cloudbased databases (such as SnowFlake)
  • Knowledge of programming languages framework (such as C#)
  • Knowledge of insurance rating products and principles
  • Knowledge of Claims, Underwriting, Marketing or Agent
  • Ability to analyze data using statistical, mathematical or data mining methods
  • Experience in process control and project management
