Stars Medical Transportation has openings for the position of EMT.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) at our location in Marlton, NJ.

As an EMT, you will provide crucial medical care and transportation of patients in non-emergent situations. EMT staff will be responsible for safely transporting stretcher-bound patients via Ambulance between various locations and destinations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and timely transportation of patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Respond to prescheduled nonemergent transportation calls in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch staff to receive transport assignments and update them on status and location.
  • Monitor and attend to patients' needs during transport, providing care and ensuring their wellbeing.
  • Monitor vital signs and record patient information.
  • Communicate with medical professionals and relay important patient information.
  • Determine and Report verbally and in writing, your observation and medical care report of the patient at the origin and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff at the destination, for purposes of records and diagnostics upon the receiving medical facility request.
  • Safely operate ambulance vehicles and follow traffic laws
  • Complete electronic patient care records in a timely and complete fashion.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, self, and others during transport.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) protocols and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Ambulance medical supplies and the utility of those supplies.
  • Familiarity with Ambulance operations and nonemergency response protocols.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver between pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a teameffort environment by using goodjudgement in assisting disabled patients in a flight(s) of stairs by utilizing specialized company equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and interact constructively and professionally with other professional team members and dispatch staff in adhering to principles of medical care.

Requirements:


  • Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • BLS certification
  • CPR certification
  • Valid Drivers License
