Key Responsibilities**- Must be capable of performing basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide), and accurately follow customer specifications on all shipments

  • Must be capable of accurately recording data, operating computer equipment, filling out required forms and documents, etc.
  • Must perform duties in a safe and courteous manner and present a neat appearance to customers
  • Operates fork truck, shuttle truck, and cleaning equipment as required by job
  • Will routinely shuttle materials and samples from the plant to the Distribution Center
  • Responsible for the operation of the plant effluent water filtration (including hill), pH adjustment, and pumping
  • Coordinates with other personnel on the adding and managing of the entire spray pond
  • Monitors and corrects any lift station or Basin 129 issues involving the storm sewer system
  • Filters material in the agitated section through the press
  • Handles unloading of chemicals to correct the agitated section
  • Works with disposal company on picking up the full skips
  • Transports skips to pond to be emptied as directed
  • Responsible for picking up and dropping off product samples on defined intervals
  • Will routinely use forklifts to load and unload transfer equipment
  • Duties include performing stacking work, i.e., repalletizing, stretch wrap, unloading box cars, etc.
  • Responsible for Loading, unloading, and transport and receiving of packing supplies, raw materials and returned goods
  • Moving and weighing of bulk trailers
  • Will use barcode scanning equipment to relocate product or consolidate products in the warehouse
  • Will use JD Edwards to complete/resolve transaction entries as required
  • Writes and monitors the necessary work orders to maintain the area as safe, workable, and clean
  • Assists maintenance employees in trouble shooting and repair of equipment
  • Reprocesses offquality product
  • Keeps area and equipment clean
  • Cares for equipment and takes corrective action on malfunctioning equipment
  • Maintains adequate supplies
  • Rinses out and crushes any acid drums predetermined for disposal
  • In general, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SHIFT & WAGES:


  • Rotating day shift schedule, including weekends
  • Alternative work schedules may be required based on site business needs
  • Wages start at $37.40 / hour in accord with the labor contract
  • Eligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8/day and 40/week
  • Biweekly paid on Friday's

Required Education and Experience**- High School diploma or GED

  • Must have a valid "CDL A" license and comply with all DOT requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must obtain certification on the following equipment:
  • Lift Truck
  • Floor Sweeper
  • Floor Scrubber
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process flow description (PFD), key control points, process description, data sheets, analytical specifications and control thereof, all relevant job analyses, and appropriate troubleshooting
  • Must be able to operate equipment to clarify water and to process or dispose of plant effluent (solids)
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter press and other work areas
  • Demonstration of above knowledge includes written and oral testing, and actual operation of equipment, to meet minimum standards of acceptability
  • Must be available to work changing shifts and schedules

Environmental and/or Physical
Requirements

  • Frequent climbing, standing, bending, temperature changes, and operating heavy equipment (Shuttle & Tractor)
  • Seldom lifting an average of 50 lbs., squatting, and operating mobile equipment (forklift, sweeper, scrubber)
