**We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual, who has an inquisitive nature, possesses good time management, creative, and critical thinking skills. The incumbent will work in a confidential and dynamic environment, with a variety of stakeholders and technical team members.


Under supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) serves as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Labor Market Information Division (LMID) on a variety of administrative and business operation functions.

The SSA along with management oversight is responsible for leading the division's Emergency Response Team, coordinating emergency response trainings, and serving as the division's Safety Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

The SSA also serves as a SPOC for the LMID field staff located throughout the state and provides support services to meet their business and operational needs.


The SSA serves as a consultant to divisional staff and management in the resolution of business and operational issues; and coordinates with the appropriate Employment Development Department (EDD) entities on behalf of the LMID relating to operational needs and Policy, Accountability and Compliance Branch activities.

The incumbent gathers and analyzes information, develops relevant materials and handouts, and provides presentations and training, both independently and with other Division staff.

The SSA is also responsible for working with other Division Services Team staff to provide back-up support on other business and operations functions and assisting with special projects of a business or operational services nature (i.e. HR/Personnel inquiries).

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.


The office is located at 9323 Tech Center Drive, Suite 1000, Sacramento, CA 95826 with free parking and close to light rail service.
